We provide various promotion tracking and marketing intelligence services for major national firms. They are interested in a number of things, such as the delivery date and condition of their advertising mail. Some of them ship sample merchandise to check on delivery of customer orders. We also protect their mailing lists against mis-use. In other cases, we track what other companies are doing in the way of advertising in the mail. These are essential services, many of which are also in the public interest. Agents are paid per each valid item reported. Any shipping costs are covered by reimbursement or use of UPS call tags, etc. There are extra potential opportunities — some of our agents get to keep certain test shipments of merchandise, or get free copies of magazines. In addition, we often do testing for non-mail order companies and check on redemption of coupon “freebies”. These agents are chosen based on location and experience. Herron Associates, Inc. has been gathering opinions of Indiana residents for more nearly 50 years over the phone, in the mall, and at their facilities. Studies are conducted on various topics and may include consumer products, lifestyle and activities, personal viewpoints on politics, or business products and services. Members of their database are periodically contacted to determine if they meet the criteria set for participation in a specific research study. Those meeting the criteria are invited to participate in a study held at one of their facilities or a designated location.
